I like reading reviews online of various hotel and motel rooms in Las Vegas before I book them. I tend to trust reviews written by fellow travelers rather than reviews written by professionals. With professionals, you never know what their agendas are. Travelers usually tell the truth from their perspective and can be brutally honest if a particular hotel or motel was a nightmare.
Many travelers dont care about fancy rooms when they go to Las Vegas. However, most travelers want clean rooms with air conditioners that work and running hot water. Reading some of the reviews online of different Las Vegas hotel rooms, you will find that in some hotels, even that is too much to ask for. Non-smoking rooms shouldnt smell like an ashtray and you shouldnt be worried that the staff is going to steal things out of your room while you are out. Youll read comments like, The room was incredible, The staff was particularly friendly and helpful, and We were upgraded to a suite without even asking. It is reassuring to read good reviews of a hotel you are planning on staying at. Of course, some people had horrible experiences at one hotel, while others had wonderful experiences.

Different things are important when it comes to hotels for different people. Some people like express check-in. Others are particularly concerned about the pool area, because in Las Vegas, pool life is a big deal most of the year. Some people want a view. All of these things and more are reviewed online, and once you read the reviews, you can easily reserve a room on the same website.
